I remember that Sittler game against the Boston Bruins at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toranna. I forgot who the B's had in goal that night, but I'm pretty sure that was his last game played in the NHL. 6 goals and 4 assists, quite the evening.

/I didn't mind the Leafs back then, mainly because Lanny McDonald was on the team.

I think he's going with the official franchise records, which is why Hawerchuk shows up for Phoenix, not Winnipeg.

If you look closely at Sakic's jersey in the rafters Boss, you'll notice that the Avs put the years that Joe was a member of the Avalanche. It's like he never played pro hockey before going to Denver.

I agree with the guy who wrote, some of the names on these just don't look right, especially a couple of the Original 6 teams.

Cherry said that what ever Sittler touched was going in, and there was no way he was going to subject Cheevers to that.

Jean Ratelle got 4 points for Boston in that game. Pretty good game lost in the shadows. lol

Not surprisingly the Senators record is held by Alfredsson with 7 points against the Lightning in 2007-2008.

Great attitude by the writer too. Can you believe that there are still scrubs out there who haven't scored more than 5 points in a single game? LOL. We should have everyone executed.

I just actually read the article. I somehow didn't even see the link the first time I read it.

Bernie Nicholls isn't even a little bit of a surprise for the Kings? I know Bernie had a pretty damn good career but this is a franchise that has had Marcel Dionne, Luc Robitaille, Wayne Gretzky and Raitis Ivanans for multiple seasons.
