I'm not terribly surprised that a lot of the big names don't have the single game records. They got their point totals via consistency, not a lucky game here or there.

And puck, considering you were the guy who posted the article, you could at least get it right! Tom Bladon had 8 points, not 7, against the Cleveland Barons. Even better than the franchise point record, it was actually the same game in which he set the NHL record for best +/- in a single game, at +10. I'd say we should probably sign him again, but I'm not sure how much of that +10 came from skill and how much came from the opponent being Cleveland.

Is this Tom Bladon you speak of old enough to sign a contract for the Wings yet?

oops. the numbers are pretty close together on the keyboard you know.
if it makes you feel better, I have a Tom Bladon hockey card around here somewhere.

that one was pretty impressive. he only scored more than 40 points in a season twice in his career, yet put up an 8-spot one night.

I was also impressed that Patrick Sundstrom holds both there reg season and playoff records for the Canucks.
He was a solid player for a while, but not exactly a superstar.

Yeah, unfortunately, I remember that game also (I watched it).
