I like following the Recruits talk! But we will be lucky if 3 of the guys see any playing time this coming fall!

I feel this arguement happens EVERY year with fans and sites.

Anderson and Seisay have been brought in to take starting jobs immediately.

McMullen could very well be starting by mid season or at least be seeing a good amount of live snaps.

Who knows with Rose. I would much prefer to see him redshirt. Westerkamp is game ready. Just plug him in wherever and watch him make plays. He'll immediately be the best receiver on our roster.

The recruiting process when it comes to the fans is VERY stupid. The recruiting process for the coaches is VERY important.

Yes, I do make fun of the people that follow it. I make fun of everyone, including myself. I call them pedophiles because the majority of these players are kids. Again, it is called a joke. Get off your pedestal that you built for yourself and calm down.

When have I been on the local news complaining about the coaches? I have been on the local news complaining about Stevie P, snow removal by my house, and a stupid fence around Rosenblatt, but not the coaches.

I am 34. I have NEVER drooled over Lavonte David. I don't drool over any player. Do I think there are some great players? Of course, but I don't get all excited and hype them up before they actually do something. The closest I came to doing that was with Robert Griffin in his freshman year. Saw him play a couple times early in that season on tv and then saw him in person in Lincoln and talked about how grateful I was that we wouldn't have to play him his junior and senior season due to the schedule rotation. He is the exception not the rule.

I focus on the coaches because they are paid adults. If that makes my view whacked then maybe your view needs some adjusting. And before you say it, I am not saying that players dont deserve blame.

Recruiting is not just a huge part of Nebraska football. It is a huge part of every program. I want no part of the fan hype. I hate over blown hype on any player. I hate the hype around Tebow but don't hate him and know he is a great athlete. Finally someone told me that the Peet, Pete, Peat (how ever you spell it) kid is an offensive lineman. Do we need help at that position? But we still have Barney Cotton so it wouldn't matter how great this kid was. (See, now that is a joke) I have heard people say that we will miss this kid. Well, I don't see how I can miss something that I never had. So "losing" this 1 kid doesn't matter to me.

In summary, these are jokes. Quit being so damn serious!!! Your hatred towards me has been pointed out numerous times and that is fine. I don't care who hates me. Just don't twist my words around and misquote me. That is all I ask. That shouldn't be a hard thing for most people to do but then again, you are not most people.

I see where you can get that from what I said but you are wrong. The game is important to us because we have a vested interest. The recruiting process for the fans deals with players that may not come here. The games deal with players that are here. Even after they sign their LOI they may not come here. Bubba Starling, Braylon Heard (for one year), Charles Jackson (so far). If a great player wants to come here, great!!! If they want come and then transfer, peace out. I don't care how good they are. I don't want anyone that doesn't want to be here. When players go pro, unless they are on the Titans, I don't care about them because they are then on the enemy's team. The only high school players I care about are at the high school where I went. That is because I have a vested interest there.

Go ahead and disagree and make fun of my line of thinking. I can handle tithe disagreent and discussion is what I love most about sports. It is when you take these stupid and ultimately irrelevant conversations too personal is when we have problems. Do I go overboard? You are damn right, but sports is my release valve of my real life frustrations. Should people take out their frustrations on innocent people? No, but I thought maybe a bunch of dudes sitting around bullshitting wouldnt be so uptight.

I'm not seeing where you have corrected my apparent misinterpretation of your words. I do see you deflecting.

You don't care about the recruiting process, fine. But that doesn't give you the right to try and ridicule the people who do.

Recruiting battles are the game within the game. How is a fan rooting for certain players to come here any different than rooting for a victory on the field? If you can't appreciate the finer points of college football and prefer to be blissfully unaware of the ins and outs of how this team is being built, just say that. Don't call people pedophiles.
