I Miss the Big 12

I don't miss Beebe, I don't miss getting jobbed by refs and the Texas bias.

But I am seriously gonna miss playing Oklahoma and yes even Texas.

Every game we played this year, even the big ones like Wisconsin tOSU MSU and Michigan, I was pumped but I didn't get that same feeling I'd get before a Missouri game or even a Kansas game.

Say what you want but I loved goin down to Texas and playin some big time games there. Had a feel to it that just isn't there in the Big Ten IMO and you can't replicate.

I think it's gonna take at least 10 years of conference play for me to feel the same way I did about Big 12 games.

I still haven't recovered from that. I was so damn sad the day the Big 12 was formed.

Honestly I really don't. I had a hard time getting pumped for Nebraska vs Kansas, Nebraska vs Iowa State, Nebraska vs Baylor and all the shit schools. At least the shit schools in the big 10 I haven't gotten my chance to watch get plundered over and over again. Sure Nebraska vs Indiana will be become a bore, but that'll be in about 5+ years

I still remember the days when every game we played was a huge game. After we won those National Titles a lot of those games became "small" games

The BiG 10 is far more prestigious.

Didn't it seem like every game vs. Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, etc. was a huge game when the Big 8 was around though?

I remember every single game being hyped up. Especially the Colorado games...

The big 8 was a huge joke other than okla. The joke is 83, was that rozier was going to run into the end zone for a safety on the first play just so Kansas could have some points

And Nebraska was at a huge dis-advantage due to the fact that we did not play both texas and oklahoma every year- that really really hurt us in recruiting.......

Yes, yes- it did...... The whole fucking thing was fucked from the start- it was no surprise that most votes went 11-1 against nebraska because the south wanted to fuck nebraska over from the start....

We are at a much much better conference now, with a much much better level playing field...... other than Ohio State because TO is stuck in the 80s-90s and thinks his methods can work now- which they can not and wont!!!!!!!!!!

Oklahoma was not only the only team to have a winning record vs Nebraska, but they were the only team that was even fucking close....

Just like any change, you miss what once was.... It will take a while for the Big Ten to sink in with most of us... but it will...

I still think the upheaval (conference realignments) will continue... and glad we have a solid conference to call home!

B1G Ten is more prestigious than the Big 12. No doubt. But the B12 is(was) full of talent, and had a couple of great football schools. The biggest problem with the B12 conference was Texas. The Whorns are like that rich spoiled girlfriend you had in college. Oh sure, she was good in bed and real hot. And you liked driving that shiny new Mustang her daddy bought for her. But she was a spoiled rotten brat, vain and selfish as hell. There was nothing more satisfying than that Saturday night you came all over her, rolled over and made her sleep in the wet spot, then broke up with her the next morning. Time to move on. And leave UT to try and wash the cum out of their hair.
