Welcome to the Oregon Ducks official thread on the Husker board. Created by the outcome of the Ducks/Huskers basketball game. Again, this is "The Pond" I will be sharing thoughts on anything related to sports here. I will have Live interviews with selected Husker members from this board.

Do not be fooled, I am here root for the huskers from now on as if nebraska keeps winning it speaks volumes for the Ducks. So best of luck to Big Red the rest of the season. Now, I'm assuming you all would also enjoy the Ducks winning because that would create a stronger strength of schedule for the huskers as well.

All things sports will be on "The Pond" I will bring you controversial subjects, insider information, and all around fun.

First order of business on "The Pond" is the upcoming FOOTBALL game today from Lincoln, Nebraska that features a new rivalry, or renewed rivalry, of Nebraska vs Iowa. Middle America battling over what is deemed the "Heroes" game on the Friday after thanksgiving. Usually Colorado and Nebraska would be playing today, but since the conference realignment Nebraska and Iowa are now slated to carry on a traditional rivalry.

prediction?

Nebraska 28

Iowa 17

McNutt will create issues for the Huskers secondary, but this week Nebraska gets mad and smart on offense and bounces back for Senior day in Lincoln from last weeks loss to Michigan.

My thoughts brought to you from "The Pond"

the Nebraska football game was fun to watch today. I enjoyed seeing Burkhead just poound, pound, pound he is a fun RB to watch. Your defense came to play and completely shut down Iowa and their attack.

Consistency. Since for some reason Nebraska games were on TV A LOT this year, almost every weekend they were on, I noticed one week they looked amazing, the next week they looked weak. defense showed up whenever they wanted to, and when they did show up they were good.

Your offense needs an identity if they want to be consistent. Otherwise, continue to expect them to show up here and there. But you need to find what you guys truly are. One drive you're a running power team, the next your some gimmick spread option RB to QB team. Pick one catagory, stick with it and get really good at it.
