I don't think any program is leading any change at this point.

Everyone is just trying to keep their head above water and not get left behind.

well from the rumor mills the acc football schools are not very happy with the expansion choices the basketball schools picked and want to be in a stronger football conference???

and really you cant see the benefit for the big 12??????

well I can see how it would be huge for the Big XII, but I don't see how it benefits FSU or Clemson...what's the incentive for them to move? what offsets the increase in Travel costs?

If that is the case, why didn't either of them try to get the 14th spot in the SEC? I don't believe this rumor.

well doesnt the sec have that " gentlemans agreement" that wont allow schools from states already in the sec

well yes if they wanted to go to the pac they would have scrapped the LHN
is that really what your trying to bring up the fact that the pac said you cant have a 3rd tier network and we didnt strike a deal

I'm saying that your post made it sound like Texas can do what it wants, and the reality is that Texas took that attitude to the Pac-12 and was told to get lost.

fsu and clemson would never join the big12. you fly over state guys seem to be underestimating the importance of regional rivalries that dominate southern college footbal.

Clemson would sure as hell bolt the ACC given the right opportunity; with all the pro-basketball expansion and bitter history of the NC schools controlling the conference, Clemson would have absolutely no hesitation if the right offer came.

This is dumb, they need to keep this shit geographically correct. A&M and Missouri should've stayed in the Big 12, because it makes more sense for them to be in the Big 12 and Clemson and FSU to be in the SEC.
