funniest thing is Cincinnati isn't far from Louisville and yet I haven't seen one Louisville fan since living here.

EVERY program will have down years. Problem with BSU is there is no guarantee they can recover. They don't generate enough revenue for a conference to take that risk.

BSU is growing tho. If they keep improving the school and athletic programs, they'll get into a conference. It just may take longer than most of the current fans expect.

yet you guys are talking about adding Louisville, who had their down year in 2007 and still haven't recovered, they're more irrelevant than ever.

yes we are growing, but in comparison to these Louisville's and Rutgers' we're better in terms of fanbase, Rutgers may be in a big market, yet no one cared about them even when they had a few years where they contended for BCS bowls.

Louisville's slump may actually have benefited them in the long run. Their average attendance has actually grown since 2007, even with the slump.

no way i can see this happening. the most reasonable rumor ive heard that i see as plausible would be ND gets fed up with this new watered down big east and decides to look elsewhere. Big12 adds louisville for all sports and byu for football only and ND for everything but football.

Okay, what do people know that I don't about Boise State and the city of Denver? What's the link? They're hundreds of miles apart, and Denver barely supports Colorado. I don't get it.

Well... I don't know. They bring an intriguing program, and that couldn't hurt the Big 12 right now.

bsu is two seasons of mediocrity away from going back to oblivion. A longshot for the big12 at best. and no one in denver is going to bring home that market for a team from boise.

Don't tell BSU fans this......they go off if you even HINT that they aren't a draw, earn no money, and really don't provide anything of worth to a major conference. They basically HAVE to produce every year, that's a lot of pressure. It appears the Big East is trying to bring them in next year to replace WVU.

Hey, Boise has the Big East(West) now. I won't doubt them as long as that coaching staff is around. They could build something there. I think the "Denver market" thing is kind of ludicrous, but they could build a small cult following nationwide. It won't get them TV sets right away, but it might keep them in the national spotlight a few times every year.
