Saw that just now; good news is, it's his other knee. The bad news is, when you tear one ACL, you're more likely to tear the other simply due to the increased stress placed on the remaining healthy one. Hopefully, he'll have surgery in the next few weeks and be ready to go for summer conditioning. A medical redshirt would be nice, but seeing as how he's already played in 5 games, he'll have to apply for a hardship waiver.

Hope he gets the waiver. Wonder why we didn't redshirt the guy to start with. Are we that thin?

He didn't redshirt because both he and Anthony are far and away more physically talented than any 'backer on the roster. Coaches wanted to give them as many game reps as possible to get them used to the speed and athleticism at the college level. Unfortunately, injuries happen, and Steward was extremely unlucky...
