Julio ended up having to start the next inning after Moore got tossed out trying to steal 2nd base and ended the inning only to have Julio go yard on the first pitch to start that next inning.

It's nice to see Julio hit a homer in the last couple games but both of those have been over the plate mistakes. Both were pitches in the strike zone that he can hammer. Hopefully it builds some confidence though.
I mean he wasn't even hitting those until these last two games. He wasn't hitting anything out of the park and not making even that many deep fly outs.

He's doubled his HR production in the last two games.

Clase got robbed on that K. He was entirely correct at holding up on it.

Bags packed one out, top of the 9th with a one run lead

Big show Julio up with the bags packed now still just one out run scored so we have a two run lead

Nice at bat by Julio battled back from two strikes put a nice single in play scored two runs should be able to wrap this one up

9-5 and we’re still up with one out

Overall: D

4-6 wasn't a total disaster, but their hitting woes highlights a lackluster road trip.

agree

Rallying up for a few runs late in a ball game should be something most ball clubs are capable of doing at least 35 to 45% of the time

When the Mariners seem to pull it off, it’s like the second coming of Christ

Almost pissed away the final game. A rare offensive outburst saved the day. But it was preceded by a continuing, uncomfortable trend - bullpen failure. After trading away our top bullpen arms every year over the last three years, Jer Jer thinks he can still magically pull an elite bullpen out of his ass. Yeah, that well has finally run dry and I'm now wondering how many games this shitty bullpen is going to cost us this year. More importantly, how long will it take to psychologically wear down our starting rotation who, by all rights, should be one of the top 3 or 4 in all of the majors. You can blame the bullpen failure on multiple unexpected injuries, but, injuries SHOULD be expected and a backup plan be in place.

Most likely used up the remaining quota of runs for the month of may but these turds needed to win.

Still think the trip was a fail seeing as they didn't win a series. A true playoff team should be able to win 2/3 vs the Nats.

Okay, so they had an offensive explosion today...

but that only means they've used up their energy for a while. We know how this goes by now.

Don't be too hard and Jer Jer, he did try to boost the pen by trading for an injured reliever who still hasn't pitched to one batter... :L
